Do you ever find yourself sitting in a restaurant writing a review in your head before the coffee has even arrived? It happens to me all the time, and that's how I find myself here. Hello anonymous internet, it's lovely to meet you.
Things to know about me before we begin:
- I live in Geelong
- I adore food (it's a torrid affair)
- I love wine (but I'm no expert)
- I do not suffer fools or rudeness (I'm looking at you waiting staff)
- Spelling and punctuation errors make me crazy
- I appear to have come to the conclusion that there may be people out there interested in my opinions about eating, drinking and living as I do in Victoria's second city.

My plan with my little blog here is to do little more than provide myself with a forum to share my views - good, bad, indifferent and outraged - about restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs in Geelong from the perspective of a rapidly assimilating outsider. Read on if you are interested, bugger off if you're not, but I hope we become friends and that you have as many hints and tips for me about the places to be as I do for you.
